[Mishmash] On my way to the hospital

Fred,

I hope that this surgery is more successful for you than the last. I was
very fortunate in that my first surgery went very well and I had no problems
until I tore the meniscus on both sides of the kneecap while sledding with
the kids. Only one side showed up on the MRI so the other side was an
unknown until the ortho got in there. He thought I had done something to my
articular cartiledge and was surprised to find what I told him all along --
another tear. The latest surgery gave me back a great deal of mobility, but
when you've had about 20+% of your meniscus removed, the knee never does
what it once did pre-injury.

Keep us posted on your recovery!
Ingrid
