Re: [Mishmash] Have a great TurkeyThanks, Robyne. Dirk enjoyed his "homemade" birthday party. He said it was the most festive one he'd ever had and seemed to have fun with the treasure hunt his mum put together with the help of my dear English friend. I just can't wrap my head around festivities where there are so many people the person being honored cannot even talk to all of them. We had a very small wedding -- 77 total -- and I still feel guilty about not being able to spend as much time with everyone who came due to the limitation of time. The birthday parties my daughter is being invited too are mostly 20+ kids either playing miniature golf, or arcade games. No one interacts really with each other. I sometimes feel it's a way for the parents to get lots of presents for their child. Now isn't that a horrible and cynical thought? I know...Hugh will probably agree with me. :-)
Thursday is the deadline for the South Africa contest. I'm crossing my fingers.

Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving, 10 years Ingrid, and I knew you before the birth wow!, sounds like Dirk is a great person, hope you get to see South Africa, I really wish him well. Hugh I'm so please for your family you must be so proud with good reason, weddings are so much fun, hard work but thats all part of it.
With birthday parties in Tasmania some families parties are getting out of hand, I still prefer the home made ones with lots of good old active fun and games.
Robyne
Enjoy the day!
Hugh
