Steve did come across as a showman but I supect that he had earned advanced 
degrees.  Remember our Marlin Perkins? Marlin appeared to be just a narrator 
and viewers did not learn that he had a doctorate until his later "Wild 
Kingdom" broadcasts.

I miss both of them very much.
