I don't get telemarketers very often but I also punish them.  I tell them
that yes I am very interested and then ask them to hold while I get a pencil
and paper.  I then put the phone beside the TV and leave it.  My
understanding is that they are not allowed to hang up while they can hear
voices.  I figure this ruins their quota and they drop me off the call list.
