>hi linda - glad to see you again. this is carole - have been here all the time. we're prolly a lot more quiet than when you were with us before - quess we're getting older and busier. i retired at the end of the year so i have a little more time now - prolly goin to remedy that eventually but right now i'm enjoying the phone not ringing and the lack of hassle in my life. why did you move to NY? work or just a change of scenery? i don't like the snow either but have to live with it - this year we've been living with more ice than snow - but it's way worse in other regions out west so not complaining (much).
We haven't had much snow here in Calgary at all - and when it does snow, within days there's usually a chinook wind clearning it out. It's funny how people are - last September 7th I was here 9 years, relocating from Fredericton, New Brunswick, on the east coast. Grew up with 7/8 foot snowbanks that didn't melt a flake from November to April - a nice day in January was a "January thaw" and we rejoiced that mother nature was tricking us into thinking spring was close (it never was) - and rain pouring down, days on end. We all bitched about the cold, the rain, the 90 degree days in July. The weather here in Calgary is unpredicatble - could be ducking snow in June and having tea on the deck in January - I hate it! What do I miss - the snow, the cold, the rain and those wonderful 90 degree days!
