[Mishmash] FW: Civic Last Night

We have had a hot summer with days and days over 30.  Only in the last week
or so have the temperatures dropped to something reasonable.  We are also in
drought.  Whilst this storm was violent, I remember a similar one in 1979,
just after I moved to Canberra so I am not going with the hysteria.  Autumn
and spring are the unstable weather seasons in this region so I think it was
just part of the normal scheme of things.

The conventional wisdom in this half of the world is that you guys 
are having summer now.
