Ahhhhhhhhhh you make an old Navy guy's heart swell with pride Carole. One
of my classmates in "A" School was selected for one of these groups. I can
only imagine the training they go through. You almost have to do this stuff
in your sleep.

I also started to laugh remembering an event while in the navy and stationed
at a communications base in Morocco North Africa. I was stationed there
from 1972 to 1975. About halfway through my tour we had a new captain come
aboard. They had the big ceremony towards the back of our small base on "The
Captains Island". It was a round section of field in front of the Captain's
house and surrounded by a street. Towards the back was the base school for
dependants. The kids were all out of school watching the Change of Command
ceremony. Rumor was going around that after the Change of Command they would have
all of us "Pass in Review" to honor the new Captain and also show off for
the kids. Panic insued. There were some old salts who hadn't marched since
boot camp 20-30 years ago. Turns out the rumor WAS true and the command to
"pass in review" was given. I think it was more of a summer stroll than a
march, but we faked our way through it.

This was great Carole. Thanks.

Gale
