[Mishmash] Married with Children in Russia

    I can't believe what I just read in the New York Times.

    Russia has a television show that is an authorized Russian version of 
'Married with Children'.

    The actors are all Russian with similar traits to the actors in 'Married 
with Children' (the wife has the red hair, for example).  The scripts are 
basically the U.S. ones translated into Russian.

    It appears that it has become a popular show over there.

    I personally think Married with Children and The Simpsons are junk (and 
I'm being polite).

    Is this *really* intercultural?  I don't think so.
