Robyne,
Something most people don't know is that you are not immediately
immunized when you get your flu shot. It actuallys takes your body
about two weeks to develop antibodies that are effective in combatting
the flu.
To that end, I find out from my doctor what the first day is that he
can innoculate me. I make an appointment for that day and get the shot.
I don't seem to get sick with flu.
If you've already been infected by the flu (even if you aren't yet
displaying symptoms) before you get the shot, the flu shot isn't going
to keep you from getting sick.
Regards,
Fred
