Lorraine and I are not fans of New Years Eve . . . in fact I once taped the ball dropping so I could just play it every year and get the stuff over early.
This year we celebrated "midnight" with our grandchildren . . .we did London time so we could blow noismakers and wear funny hats at 6PM here in NY.
I was not asleep at midnight, but took a pass on the plastic merriment.
The thing I really don't get is the Times Square thing. You've got to be there by 4PM to get even within a few blocks of the square, the entertainment they interrupt commercials with is on a stage 5-6 floors up and facing away from the square, you're not allowed to leave the square and get back in, and there are no bathrooms!
Sounds like one ht elast things I'd ever want to do.
Hugh

Yes, it is.
I spent New Years Eve with some people from my church last night. We had dinner and a good time.
What did everyone else do? Tell us.
