[Mishmash] Atlanta Snowstorm

Somehow a snowstorm is not what Northerners like me expect to hear
about from Atlanta. :-)
Having spent a winter in Augusta, though, I well remember hacking a
deep layer of ice
off my windshield many mornings before driving off to nearby Fort
Gordon. Cold enough,
but it just didn't snow while I was around.

Sorry to hear about the Olympics being scrubbed. The comm events I
participate in regularly
(Marine Corps Marathon and a 24-hour horse riding marathon out in
western Virginia) take place
during warmer times of the year. It may get cold (nearly froze my
antenna off during this
year's MCM) but at least it doesn't snow.

Cold snap heading this way too. Subzero expected several days during
the next week, and
maybe a few flurries, but the worst of the precip is hitting south of DC.

73,

(That's "Best Regards" to the civilians.)
