There are four bone churches in Europe. I have been to one in Kudova Zdroj,
just inside Poland. It is quite amazing. This is what I got from the
Polish explanation. Apparently there was a plague which resulted in the
cemetery becoming a little crowded. Then there was a very wet period which
exposed many of the graves. The priest at the time recovered them. Re
burial was too much so he cleaned the bones used them to decorate the
chapel.
In a way I find this rather appealing. It would be nice to more useful than
fertiliser when I fall off my perch.
Cheers
David

What a way to go
In Czechoslovakia, there is a church that has a chandelier made out of human
bones.
