[Mishmash] Trivia Time: What Bird Is This?

Folks,

    Why is it that I can rarely get any Mishmash people to bite into a
trivia question?

    I'll give you a hint.  It's the state bird of New Mexico.

    And I'll ask you why this bird is so popular out there.  Can you
tell me?
