[Mishmash] Dragging Kids Down

Here's my current "we're doomed" situation.

My oldest grandson just entered kindergarten. He's (even if it is grandpa 
saying it) bright and has really strong verbal skills (reading at the second 
grade level; speech at the 4th grade level).

So, the local public school system, in its PC-directed wisdom, puts him in a 
class with all ESL students. Seems its more important to use him as an 
example for those students than to nurture and grow his abilities (the 
teacher speaks english with a heavy accent).

He starts today at the local parish school.
