I assume you mean a capacitive discharge ignition add-on rather than a 
Compact Disc player although parents could dislike either one or both.  Ann 
and I assembled a couple of Radio Shack units in the early 70s for our 
Buicks. One even outlived two Buicks.  I was very impressed with them 
because the ignition point contacts outlasted the rubbing blocks!  They 
really performed well and even extended spark plug life by a factor of 
three.  One company seemed to make the RS, Phase Three and Delta kits; Phase 
Three was the highest price followed by Delta and RS brands but Delta was 
the actual manufacturer.
