[Mishmash] Free American Health Care NOW!

I don't have much faith in the US voter these days . . . I think we're
seeing the results of years of social promotion in our schools show up in
the voting booth!
Try to ask someone simple questions . . . questions like "where will the
money come from" . . . and you get "the government" as an answer. Nobody
seems to understand the government is a transfer agent for funds . . . it
can't give something out unless it collects is somewhere else.
The GM bailout is an example of government at its worst. The truth is GM is
a poorly managed fairly good company strapped with foolish labor rules and a
bunch of very outdated factories. If nobody had stepped in failing plants
would have disappeared but the good ones would have survived . . . maybe not
as part of GM, but as part of someone.
Put a GM built car next to a similar one built without the union and labor
rules GM has to deal with. Everything else is just about the same (parts,
material, etc.) The only difference is the profit the other company makes
winds up passing through GM on its way to someone who was laid off 10 years
ago!
To bring this back to the topic, the decision by the Washington zoo crowd to
bail out GM was flawed by a "government can do things better" mentality
coupled with "the average voter is stupid so we have to be Mama".
Obama is a fraud. The rest of the fools in DC are . . . fools.

Hugh,
I wholeheartedly agree.
I'd call it a 'Hate Bush' approach by the liberal media.
You're on track about hsi goal. Americans are wising up to this.
That's why is popularity is starting to go down the tube. His numbers are
dwindling.
I think that by the 2010 election that people are going to have had to
stomach him so much that they are going to start to vote Repbulican to take
away the unlimited power he seems to have through the Democrats. But even
some Democrats are having doubts.
We have a fair chance of him failing at this health care bill. If that
happens, it will be wonderful for two reasons. One will be that we avert a
socialized health care system. The other will be that it will greatly limit
him because he'll lose a lot of support for failing to pass that bill.
I believe that the longer that Congress takes to take a vote on that
bill, the less likely it will pass. Let's hope they keep putting it off as
his numbers continue to dwindle.
When is everyone going to wake up and see that this cute little imp
everyone likes so much is actually a devil in disguise? I see him for what
he is and I think most of you do as well.
Couldn't we get the other Bush to take over for him (sarcasm) so we can
send him packing home to Obama.
If he passes the bill, it's only going to be a matter of a short time
before everyone is going to see what a disaster this will become. Either
way, he will be very unpopular by 2012. I don't believe he'll make a second
term.
But I hope we get him out in the next election without taking on
socialized medicine in the process.
Regards,
Fred
I believe the second attack on the US was the 2008 election . . . that we
put more danger in the white house than we experienced on 9/11.
I also believe the republicans elected this cast of fools with their "It is
John's turn" approach.
The truth is the goal is a socialist democracy on the order of Sweden and a
leveling of the income levels through transfer programs that simply move
money around to those who didn't earn it.
Our only hope is delay and at least one house of Congress changing hands in
2010 so the folks in the DC zoo can start fighting each other again and
leave us alone.

Carole,
I have to admit that I am with you on that one hundred per cent.
He is a disaster that is already happening.
I get the impression he is losing steam. He was demanding that they
pass his legislation before recess. The longer they wait, the more likely I
we will have that the bill may be defeated.
Go to your Tea Parties, send printed photos of tea bags to your
Congressional representatives and senators.
Don't just stand back. Do what you can.
Regards,
Fred

if only we could get the rest of the country to understand this. if only we
would have been able to explain to the idiots that voted for this man BEFORE
they cast their ballots. there are many who did vote for him who are
beginning to see the light - afraid it is to late. i fear for my country -
i fear for my children and grandchildren who will have to pay for this mess
obama and pelosi have made (and will make) much more than i will.
"this is the greatest country in the world, we must change it."

We're sitting up here in Canada watching the United States sink into the
mire of socialism - depending on whether on not you've been indoctrinated
with the socialist mantra, it is a good or bad thing - I see it as being
very bad and the beginning of the end of your democratic principles -
After the war a socialist government under Clement ATlee was elected in
Britain - their socialist policies were so entrenched before they were
defeated at the polls, subsequent governments were never able to turn back
that tide.
Socialism is not a good principle for anyone with a grain of independence or
ambition - it sucks everything out - everything but dependence on
government hand outs everytime there's a bump in the road -
I feel so bad for those of you resisiting this - you've got a socialist in
the White House and he's just getting started. someone wasn' minding the
store!
