[Mishmash] Dry Heat

Folks, 

    It's 104 degrees here in Las Cruces.  The high is supposed to be 106 today.  The humidity is still very dry.  I see some folks out in the swimming pool but I don't intend to join them.  

    Instead, I went to our radio club meeting this morning before coming back to the apartment.  Then I went to the dry cleaners to drop off my clothes, a local deli to grab lunch, and Walmarts to get my groceries.  

    I'm holed up in the apartment and I don't intend to go out into that heat again unless it comes down a bit.  I don't think that will happen before tonight.  

    The monsoon season starts in July.  Hopefully, that will cool us off a bit.  But I'm going to be drinking lots of water and staying indoors mostly during the month of June.
